Choose who can reach your memory. A new Remote access switch in the Connect tab turns the hosted address off, so only apps on your own computer can reach CortexMind. It stays on unless you turn it off.

En français. The whole app now speaks English and French: settings, the menu bar and the memory dashboard. It starts in your system's language, and you can switch any time with the EN/FR toggle. Change it in one place and everything follows.

A fresh look. Settings and the dashboard now share the cortexmind.net design, in dark and light, and the dashboard works on a phone-sized window.

Settings, reorganized. Everything sits in four tabs: Connect, Instructions, General and Advanced. Your connection details come first, and you only restart when you change your license key.

See the time left. During the first-run model download, CortexMind measures your connection and shows the speed and the time remaining.

See it start. While CortexMind starts up, its menu bar icon now pulses and the menu shows what it is doing: downloading models (with a percentage), loading, warming up. On macOS the progress also appears right next to the icon. It switches to Running the moment your memory is ready.

Always up to date. The menu bar now keeps watching after startup too, so it shows the real state at all times.

Clearer sign-in. When ChatGPT or Claude asks you to sign in to CortexMind, the page now asks for your "CortexMind Password", the same name the app uses in Settings.

AI instructions that fit ChatGPT. The memory instructions in Settings are now about half as long, so they paste straight into ChatGPT's custom instructions with room to spare for your own.

En français aussi. The AI instructions now come in English and French. Pick the language right above the Copy button; CortexMind remembers your choice and defaults to your system language.

Clearer next steps. Under the instructions, the app now tells you where to paste them and how to check they work: open a new chat and ask "What do you know about me?"

CortexMind 4.0.0

GPU acceleration everywhere. Memory search now runs on the GPU on every platform: Metal on Apple Silicon, and any Vulkan-capable card on Linux and Windows, including NVIDIA, AMD and Intel Arc. Nothing extra to download: the inference engine ships inside the app.

Picks the right device on its own. On first launch CortexMind times your CPU against every GPU it can see and keeps the fastest. A GPU that would be slower than your CPU is never used. memory_status shows exactly which device each model is running on.

Lighter on your machine. About 2 GB of GPU memory when a GPU is in use, the reranker runs at full precision, and the first launch after upgrading removes the old model files, freeing several gigabytes of disk.

Faster on Apple Silicon. Memory search on an M-series Mac is roughly twice as fast as in 3.8.
